About Me
Disc Golf is a huge part of my life. It's what I did on my first date with my now wife. It's a family tradition around Christmas time and a great way to hang out with friends in the park. I love disc golf and this is my disc golf Blog.
My first round of disc golf was at a local course in Victoria, BC, Juan de Fuca Disc Golf Course. A friend mentioned we show go play this 'disc golf thing'. After stopping at the local store and outfitting ourselves with some Innova Sharks we hit the course. What a course that Juan de Fuca was. A short par three course through the trees on the outskirts of a sports complex park. Some great memories were had at this course. Here are a few in no typical order
- Hole 4 - falling and slicing my knee open and getting 6 stitches
- Hole 7 - Basket on the slide of a HUGE cliff
- Hole 10 -Basket on the other side of a sludgy pond
Those were some good times of procrastinating from University. Then one day we found out that there was a objects course around the UVic campus! The course was named Lot10, created by a bunch of University students. As it was around the campus it was a night course. We played many a round around that course. The sad thing being that both those courses are now closed. There are other courses around Victoria now and I'll give those a fair review once I play them, however, it's still sad.
Since those first two courses I've been absolutely hooked on disc golf. This blog is my way of documenting (and hopefully) sharing to the world my experiences with disc golf. It's such a great low cost sport that almost anyone can play. If you have any suggestions on articles or anything please drop me an email I'm always interested in hearing from my readers.
